RHEOSYN™

Rheology modifier for synthetic oil muds

DESCRIPTION

Rheosyn is a solid, water-soluble polyethylene glycol which is dissolved in the internal aqueous phase of synthetic invert oil emulsion drilling systems. Addition of Rheosyn enhances the low shear rate viscosity and suspension without increasing high shear rate viscosities. Rheosyn is packaged in 50 lb or 25 kg sacks.

FEATURES
  • Improved rheological properties at low and high shear rates
  • Better suspension of solids with increased low shear rate viscosities
  • Reduced high shear rate viscosities lower equivalent circulating densities
  • Improved filtration control
  • Reduced or non-chloride internal phase while maintaining shale stabilizing characteristics
  • Reduced cuttings dispersion
  • Lubricating internal phase
