- Non-polysaccharide polymeric viscosifier
DESCRIPTION
Glysol SF 400M is a high molecular
weight solid polyethylene glycols which when dissolved in bromide
solutions generate viscosity characteristics comparable to
hydroxyethyl cellulose. Glysol SF 400M
products are packaged in 50 lb or 25 kg sacks.
BASE FLUIDS
Glysol SF 400M may be utilized in zinc
bromide brine.
APPLICATIONS
- Viscosified, solids-free fluids
- Displacement spacers
FEATURES
- Ease of mixing without special mixing equipment or external
heat source
- Provides comparable leak-off properties to HEC in fluid loss
pills
- Stabilizes clay
- Stable viscosities to 350°F with the addition of Glysol
