Inhibisal Ultra® B

DESCRIPTION

Inhibisal Ultra B is a neutralized blend of low molecular polyglycols. Inhibisal Ultra B mixes readily into brine based drilling and completion fluids and is recommended at a concentration of 3% by volume.
Inhibisal Ultra B is packaged in 55 gal drums.

BRINE SYSTEMS

Inhibisal Ultra B may be used in potassium chloride, sodium chloride, calcium chloride, sodium bromide, calcium bromide and zinc bromide brines.

Inhibisal Ultra B Chart

A shale stability index (SSI) was developed as a relative measure of shale hardness as a function of water absorbed for various drilling fluids. The higher the SSI number, the less water uptake by the shale samples, and predictably the more stable the wellbore in drilling shale sections with the fluid. (See graph above).
