- High temperature fluid loss additive for drilling, completion
or workover fluids
DESCRIPTION
Polytex AHT is a proprietary synthetic
polymer designed to impart fluid loss control and relatively high
temperature stability without significantly increased fluid
viscosity. Polytex AHT is packaged in 50
lb or 25 kg sacks.
BASE FLUIDS
Polytex AHT may be used in fresh water,
potassium chloride, sodium chloride, sodium formate, and sodium
bromide brines.
FEATURES
- Polytex AHT can be used to control
downhole fluid loss of a
Bridgecarb-Ultra®,
Bridgesal-Ultra®, Thixsal-Ultra®, or
Ultra Carb Systems
- Polytex AHT is compatible with
viscosifiers such as xanthan gum biopolymer, hydroxyethyl cellulose
and bentonite clay
- Polytex AHT, when
used in sufficient concentrations and in combination with
Thermasal™-A and Thermasal-B,
will control high pressure fluid loss at temperatures up to 325°F
with minimum viscosity increases
MIXING INSTRUCTIONS
Polytex AHT is readily dispersed into
fluids through a conventional mud hopper. A normal concentration is
3 to 7 lb/bbl, depending upon the fluid loss control needed.
NON-DAMAGING
Laboratory tests show Polytex AHT is
essentially non-damaging. Films or "filter cakes" of Polytex AHT do not hinder clean-up procedures
following completion and workovers.
