- A special lubricant designed for drilling and completion
fluids
DESCRIPTION
Lubetex is a blend of special
non-polluting oils and surfactants. It is non-flammable and
biodegradable. Lubetex is available in 55
gal drums or in bulk.
BASE FLUIDS
Lubetex may be used in fresh water
muds, sea water systems, sodium chloride, potassium chloride or
calcium chloride brines.
APPLICATIONS
- Improves the lubricity of drilling and completion fluids by
reducing friction between the drill string and walls of the
borehole
- Soft shales have less tendency to adhere to bits and drill
collars when Lubetex is present in the
drilling fluid
- Concentrated in a batch of drilling mud and spotted across the
zone of sticking, Lubetex may be used to
free pipe stuck by differential pressure
- Lubetex is an excellent defoamer for
fresh water, sea water, and salt water muds
ADVANTAGES
Lubetex contains no hydrocarbon oil. It
has little effect upon the rheological properties of drilling
fluids, is non-fluorescent and eliminates mud foaming problems.
