DESCRIPTION
Breake additives are
alkaline earth metal peroxides used as a delayed breaker for
water-based fracturing fluids containing guar or hydroxypropyl guar
polymers. The Breake
products (Ultra Breake
M®, Ultra Breake MG, Breake C, Breake
CG), are activated as the fluid temperature
increases, solubilizing the peroxide, and generating oxygen and
secondary radicals thereby providing an effective method for
polymer de-polymerization. Breake packaging is in 50 lb fiber
containers.
